About the Artist

Linda Hjelmåker is a Scandinavian artist living in Boulder, Colorado. Inspired by nature, her contemporary abstract work reflects a sense of calm, simplicity and connection.

Working primarily in watercolor, Linda embraces the organic qualities of the medium to create soft, subtle and textured layers. Her pieces are named after elements, moments and places in nature.

Her studio, Leva Art, takes its name from the Swedish word leva — “to live” or “to be alive.” Linda’s work embraces life through a connection with the natural world and a search for beauty in the landscapes that surround us.
